Washington D.C. in June

Jeff, my mom, and I went to Washington D.C. in June to visit my brother Bobby and to see the sites. Jeff and I spent a whole, very hot day, running around D.C. seeing the memorials and the buildings. I really enjoyed seeing all the history in EVERYTHING. Jeff and I suspect we walked over 8 miles that day alone. We had a blast, even thought we decided the bus tours would have been way better : ).

Repelling

On Friday the YW went camping overnight to certify in cooking for Girls Camp and to have fun together. On Saturday we went to Watson Lake and got to Repel. The girls had a blast and so did I :).

Garden Time

Jeff has been working hard in our back yard lately. We have a pretty good sized garden, which is starting to sprout. The pond Jeff built last year is starting to really look nice as well. We have 3 turtles and a lot of goldfish in there. We have also been able to grow a billion roses on our 6 rose bushes out front. I posted pictures of part of our first clippings of the year.

Diamondbacks Game

Yesterday Jeff and I drove down to super hot Phoenix to attend a Diamondbacks baseball game vs. the Atlanta Braves. I was able to get two free tickets in honor of student teaching at a school that does MacRo (a math program). We got to go down on the field beforehand and got to be up on the big screen. It was a neat experience but the game was long and we didn't do so well. I guess its nice to have done it once and experienced it.

Me up on the jumbo screen...looking like a weirdo :) (I'm in the middle in the brown shirt and khaki carpi's)
Jeff surprised to have his picture taken

Graduation!

Im so excited that I did it! I got my Masters in Education with an elementary teaching credential in 4 semesters (1yr and a semester). Good old NAU. I never thought I could do it. I can't wait to teach in a classroom and be called Master/Mistress Meyers, tee hee. I don't think I want to go back to school for a long time : ).
